I’ve really dropped the ball on being active on social media lately, but despite that, I seem to continue to have organic growth, steadily gaining followers who seem to be finding me for the right reasons. With only four months to go until THE AFTER HOURS is supposed to hit shelves (!), it’s time to kick things into high gear marketing wise. However, there are a few things up in the air regarding the publication of my book that have left me in somewhat of a limbo. I feel that it’s only fair that I share it with my handful of readers here.

If you aren’t familiar, my wonderful, amazing publishing house CamCat Books suffered a huge loss earlier this year when its founder and CEO, Sue Arroyo, passed away suddenly. The devastation was then compounded a few weeks ago, when CamCat’s fantastic editorial director, Helga Schier, who was acting CEO of CamCat after Sue’s passing, sadly also passed away. My heart goes out to Sue’s and Helga’s friends, families, and the entire CamCat team.

Sue’s passing has understandably affected CamCat’s future, and while I don’t know exactly how much I’m able to share, I can tell you that my March 4, 2025 publication date might change. No one knows at the moment. It’s insanely disheartening, of course, but it is no one’s fault. The staff at CamCat have worked so hard to do right by me and other CamCat authors, especially those that have books coming out in the near future.

I will share any details I’m allowed to share as soon as I am able. I’ve also had some big life changes recently, like switching jobs (after being with the same firm for nearly a decade!) that have made it necessary for me to be in a bit of a hibernation.

That being said, I am working on getting THE AFTER HOURS up on NetGalley, and I will also be doing ARC signups very, very soon! I have had some early reader feedback already and let me tell you, hearing people gush about your book, there is no other feeling like it in the world.
