Raised in the Pacific Northwest, Aspen Andersen now calls the hills of sunny Southern California home. She will, however, always miss the rain and trees of the PNW. She shares her life with her high school sweetheart and three kids, two human and one canine. There’s also a cat there, but she doesn’t really know why.

During business hours, Aspen is a project manager at an engineering consulting firm. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing and a Master of Architecture. She is obsessed with finding ways of challenging human nature with fantastical powers. When not preoccupied with this, she spends her moments exploring the Southern California hillsides with her family, doing yoga, and reading. Her ultimate goal in life is to write books while living on a ranch converted into a nursing home for elderly dogs to live out their golden years.
